RAW MATERIALS

Coffee is a plant belonging to the Rubiaceae family (coffea sort), growing in tropical countries. The main sorts used are:

  • Arabica, to be found at an altitude between 800 and 2000, is more aromatic, milder and not so bitter. It is spread in Central and South-America, due to the frequent rainfalls;
  • Robusta, which grows at a lower altitude (200-1000 m), is more bitter and full-bodied. It is spread in Africa, where the climate is dryer.

For our blends, we mainly use the sort coming from Brazil, Central America, Ethiopia and India.
